An independent review by UW-Milwaukee&#8217;s Center for Urban Initiatives and Research (CUIR) support this:<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"size-medium width=\"300\" height=\"189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.plcmke.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/plc3.jpg?resize=300%2C189&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.plcmke.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/plc3.jpg?w=427&amp;ssl=1 427w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\n<p>A quick summary of survey\/evaluation results from PLC participants in the past school year supports our impact:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li>95% of students surveyed indicated that they had used at least one of the tools for non-violent conflict management and healthy communication since their PLC experience.<\/li>\n \t<li>79% of students were able to identify the use of an I-message as the most peaceful way to communicate their feelings in a difficult situation, an increase of 10% over the pre-survey.<\/li>\n \t<li>Nearly three-quarters of the student participants identified \u201chear the other person\u2019s point of view\u201d as an effective method for solving a conflict in a \u201cfair and peaceful way\u201d.\u00a0 This was a 22% increase from the pre-survey.<\/li>\n \t<li>60% of all teachers agreed that students had improved in their handling of conflict since attending the workshop, this was increased to 63% for teachers who reported continued reinforcement and to 65% for teachers who reported that they had handled conflict differently themselves.<\/li>\n \t<li>84% of all participating teachers agreed or agreed strongly that they were handling student conflicts differently since the workshop and 92% of those teachers who attended PLC with their classes for the first time this year, reported this change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
